At Global Institute of Eating Disorders (GIED) we recognise the current limitations for clinicians seeking specialist training for working with people with eating difficulties. We are strong advocates for evidence-based practice, whilst acknowledging the high levels of complexity and comorbidity in the eating disorder population, and the reality that many of our standard treatments are not effective for all clients. When first-line treatments fail, we believe in providing clients with a range of options that meet their specific needs and preferences.

We will be adding new courses to this website over the next year or so. In the meantime, we currently offer two at-you-own-pace courses on Schema Therapy for Eating Disorders at Beginner and Intermediate levels. These courses are designed to allow clinicians to work simultaneously on the eating disorder alongside multiple comorbidities, including complex trauma. We also offer live trainings.
